Dimondale Adolescent Care Facility
Suite 201
Currently accept females aged 12-17, who have a history of delinquency, severe emotional disturbance, or who have been unsuccessful at a lower level of care. We do not provide services to pregnant youths. We acknowledge that all of the girls in our care are predisposed towards delinquency, and are at high-risk for recidivism following discharge. Our high staff-to-resident ratio ensures that all of our clients are properly supervised, and have access to an adequate support system in times of crisis.
At Dimondale, we know that each child is a special case, with specific needs, emotional issues, and behavioral challenges. Our licensed social workers assess each child and her situation, as part of the intake process. A targeted needs and services plan is created within thirty days, and this plan is periodically reviewed and each child’s progress is reevaluated. The plan and goals are then adjusted accordingly. The primary goal for all of our residents is reunification with parents, family, or other primary caretaker(s). When this is impractical, we seek to prepare children for independent living following emancipation.
